Friends:

On Saturday August 7^th, 2010 you will have the opportunity to change the world and honor a young man who inspired us all.  Andrew J. McMillan transformed the world around him and encouraged everyone who met him to achieve more through hard-work and kindness.  It is in that most honorable effort that a group has gathered to take a day and reward those individuals who strive to not only excel among their peers, but also help and support them to do the same.

The Andrew McMillan Memorial Golf Tournament is part of an effort to fund a scholarship for students at Andrew’s alma mater, the University of Maine , who embody that same spirit he lived his daily life by.  This scholarship fund will be awarded to incoming freshman and will provide them the extra help Andrew would have been happy to provide if he were still here today.

We are looking for both businesses & individuals to aid us in our effort to live up to the example Andrew provided us.  All proceeds from the golf tournament will go directly to the AJM Scholarship Fund.  So whether you are able to make a donation of time, prizes, or money your assistance is greatly appreciated. Any groups willing to help sponsor the tournament or donate directly to the scholarship fund will be recognized in all informational and news releases.
